Ligier Automotive NA was selected in 2018 by the FIA and SCCA Pro Racing to design and manufacture the single-seater dedicated to the FR Americas Championship. It has a carbon fibre chassis that complies with the FIA F3 Regional regulations that came into effect in 2018. The car incorporates the halo in its design just like the F1 race cars. The Ligier JS F3 is powered by a 2-litre Honda engine with an output of 303 bhp. Different engines can be installed in the Ligier JS F3 to compete in other FIA F3 Regional Series.
